What is Dokokoko.com?

Right now, it’s mostly a travel log.

Hermann Ebbinghaus’s research from over 100 years ago suggests that people actively remember only about 20% of what they’ve learned after a short period of time. While the exact number can vary depending on the person and the situation, I have to agree that I don’t always retain everything I experienced, felt, or thought while traveling. Of course, if I look at photos or hear a story connected to a place I’ve visited, my memories quickly come flooding back. But it’s bittersweet how many of the unforgettable moments I thought I would never forget fade from my mind so easily. That’s when I decided to grab a pen and start jotting things down.

Along the way, I hope my travels can offer a tip or two to inspire your next bucket list adventure filled with unforgettable moments.

What Does Dokokoko Mean?

In Japanese, "Dokokoko" literally means "Where (Doko) Here (Koko)." I’ll admit that "Dokokoko.com" is a bit of a mouthful and can be a tongue-twister, but I like the way it sounds—it has a nice rhythm to it.

Is This Site Up to Date?

Not yet. I plan to write past articles and gradually fill in the backlog over time, as my schedule and mood allow.
